I'm applying into radiology. Dunno if i wanna do a transitional year or prelim year.. in any regard... my question is... do i need to ask for SEPARATE letters of rec for each of these applications (transitional and prelim)? i know i'll need to modify my personal statement, but what about the letters of rec.

I'm getting three letters from radiologists... and they've already turned it in. do i now need to ask them to send TWO more versions each modified for a transitional and prelim application?

thanks

No, you do not technically need separate LORs for prelims and transitionals. I definitely wouldn't bother getting your radiologists to rewrite their letters into a different version.

What would be helpful, though, is getting a LOR (if possible) from an IM rotation if applying for IM prelims, or a GS rotation if applying for GS prelims. Probably not absolutely necessary, but the prelim/transitional program directors would appreciate it more.
