I am new to the forums. Does anyone know were I can find links related to TY programs. I am curious which programs have sent out invites. Also any thoughts to what would make a competitive applicant for a transitional year program?

Generally speaking, anesthesia applicants find 1st yr slots, obviously.

That said, many TYs are highly competitive d/t location, easiness and the fact that our competitors are those smartie pants in ophtho, rad, rad onc, derm etc.

Hey, your board name rocks, Sleepy! The search feature has been a friend to me the past couple years. There are various philosophies on how to approach the TY. Apply to few and scramble....Apply to 2 in each city....Apply only to the ones in your home town.
Anyway, coming up with selection criteria is a part of choosing a PGY-1 program.
