transplanting cell questions?

one of my friends took DAT and he said one of the questions asked what happens when we move a cell from an organism and transplant it to another.

For example, if you transplant a tooth cell of mouse to a different mouse or other animal, what happens...etc.


what chapter do I need to study for this type of questions?
and do you guys know the answer?

By the way, this is not exactly what the DAT asked, even my friend forgot what the question was asking, and the mouse example is what I made up so I don't think this is considered releasing the test problem. If it is, please close this thread for me.

Tissue grafts and organ transplants are explained in the chapter of the lymphatic system. If you are using the Campbell book, they have a very thorough explanation as why the body will accept or will reject foreign tissue. But, the major reason is because of the MHC (major histocompatibility complex).
