I've been researching a little bit and was wondering if there is only one route into trauma surgery?
General Surgery Residency ---> Trauma fellowship

There are no trauma surgery residencies or other residencies you can do before a trauma fellowship correct?

If you want to be s trauma surgeon at a major trauma center, you should do a year of critical care. Trauma fellowship is optional. There is no board certification for trauma but there is for critical care.

There is no other way to become a trauma surgeon (ie general surgery training is a must)

Ortho trauma is not what anyone considers to be a trauma surgeon. Ortho trauma deals with ortho trauma. Trauma surgery globally manages trauma patients (even if we operate a lot less than ortho trauma).

Unless ortho trauma actually performs trauma resuscitations in some settings (I'd be surprised)

I see. Thank you guys a ton for your help
