Hi, I just wanted to know if there are programs/organizations where I can travel abroad once a month or once a year for humanitarian and also just big cities for being a dentist? I still want to own a practice in America where I am a parmanent dentist there...but for few weeks...I have chance to work around the world...or something like that...Thanks!

it 'ld work well if you have an associate dentist with you..as he/she can take care of the clinical duties while you are away for few weeks. Many people do that ..
Look into WHO, UNICEF, UNO, American red cross, international red cross and other voluntary agencies..they will gladly guide you on how to go about it.. do a google search and look for the agencies that work in the particular countries you want and go from there..

Yes there are quite a few out there. If you go to dentaltown there's a guy always looking for volunteers to Vietnam and such places. I think some dental schools also send you to other country for volunteering.
