So far I've got three interviews at Touro-NV, Touro-MI, and WVSOM. I live in Alaska. Flights to the East Coast are about $700 a pop. I've also applied to: UNECOM, both PCOMs, COMP, LECOM, MSUCOM, VCOM, AZCOM, and UMDNJ. Top choices right now are UNECOM, WVSOM, and the PCOMs.

I can get a fairly cheap flight ($450) going from Anchorage to San Francisco to Las Vegas and back to Anchorage. Do I schedule these two interviews for later - say, mid-December - until I hear back from some other schools, or should I just go ahead and schedule them earlier and book the flights now?

I'm going broke. Why do I live here again? Besides the otters and porpoises, I mean.

Do it now, you could ahve an acceptance by mid december and then pick and chose when and if you go to other interviews. Especially if those ones are toward the top of your list. I just got accepted to WVSOM. When I applied it was one of the bottom. As I researched more and then interviewed there it went to the top 3 on my list and maybe even #1. So, now that I am accepted I will only accept interview invites to KCOM and UNECOM. So, an early acceptance can make the difference. as a side note, you'll LOVE WVSOM (minus the outrageous tuition but hey who's counting?).

WVSOM class of 2011!

It is hard to say but I think you should just schedule them for earlier and that way you could know if you're in somewhere sooner. Sure, you'll probably get more invitations to interview, but you might not, either. So putting off interviews for what might happen is a little bit of a gamble.
I think medmom has it right. If you know you're in somewhere, you can pick and choose from any future invitations. :luck:

Only advice I can give is go to the interviews you have as early as you can. As for the ones you haven't been invited to, try to scedule UMDNJ and PCOM-Philly for the same week. They're close enough to get a rental car and drive between the two. The same applies to WVSOM and VCOM (about 2 hours apart).
