I think that I am 90-95% certain that I will starting out with travel therapy after I graduate, mainly due to a desire to travel around the United States and see places that I normally wouldn't get to experience (and while someone pays me to do it!), and my husband is also on board to do travel nursing at the same time. We have a few criteria, such as the company needs to be new grad-friendly and possibly provide mentorship and support, competitive benefits and compensation packages, offer pet-friendly housing, and have the ability to place us quickly.

The big problem is that there are a lot of companies out there and all of them promise what sound like wonderful packages. I've started a spreadsheet to keep track of the recruiters that I've talked to and the benefits that they've promised to compare, but it would really help to hear from new graduates who have found a company that fits or doesn't fit, things to look out for when talking to companies, and what to expect.

So far, my top choice is Host Healthcare, followed by Onward Healthcare and Advanced Medical. I've also looked at talking to American Traveler, Delta, and Aureus, but I didn't get a great vibe from either their responses to simple questions or reviews that I saw online. Does anyone have any others that they have talked to or that they work for? Any advice?

I'd recommend you join the "Doctor of Physical Therapy" Facebook group, if you haven't already done so. People comment on there fairly frequently about Travel PT companies. Also use glassdoor.com to check the companies out. There is also a website for travel PTs (http://www.therapistcentric.com/) but the forums there are sparsely populated. But if you spend some time going through the past postings, you can get a fairly good idea of what companies to avoid.
