I am kinda worried by looking at all the questions that people are asking on the SDN...

When people post questions like "what is williamson ether formation rxn" I am like "what is that?"

I don't remember any names, but when i look the rxns up later, I know which one the asker is talkign about.

Should I be able to recall which rxn is which by just hearing the name of the reaction, or is being able to know the outcome of the rxn enough?

technically you don't need to the know the names of the reactions, but if you have adequately prepared, you probably will.
