I'm looking to get a PDA or a PDA-phone and was just seeing what the recommendations were.

My roommate has a 650 and he likes it, but I dont know how applicable it'd be for medicine so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Also Palm OS or Windows?

Thanks.

Sorry didnt know there was a Tech forum. But I dont know how to delete threads...

i just got the treo 700p (palm os), i use a mac so i had to get it to be compatible since the windows version of the treo does not work with mac...
Also the 700p has better screen resolution than the 700wx...read the specs.
I absolutely love the treo , i recommend doing a google search for "treo case" to find a good case to protect your investment.

I can honestly say, my Treo 700 has made me into a better human being.

Seriously. 👍

Here's something you should take into consideration...although jam packing your Treo with medical software will make you look like an allstar on the wards...you need to be conscious of one annoying problem with the Treo's...I've noticed that on my 650 as well as the 700's of many friends of mine...the pda locks up when there is no reception where you are...so if your hospital has poor cell phone reception then please understand you won't be able to whip out your treo whenever you desire in order to look something up on your handy dandy treo...the one way around that is to turn your phone off but keep the pda on...but that's annoying because then you can't get calls/texts throughout the day to keep you sane.

just my 180495 cents

Never had that happen on my 650. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in the hospital.

I've never experienced this on my 700p.

I've got verizon and noticed that the treo 755 hasnt come out for it yet.. Any suggestions/ideas on this? the 755 is perty and has no antenna... (not that it'd make a difference)

I've got a Palm T/X and like it so far. I wanted a PDA instead of smartphone because my phones get a lot of where and tear and don't want to have to replace it in a year. The T/X has the Blazer web browser which is descent but it'd be nice to have a browser that loads web pages like a real computer. Not sure what kind of browser the treo has.
