Tricky Key Hole Question

I'm having problems with this keyhole. Correct Answer is "D" and I have shown the solutions to the other views.

How are B and C not answers to the question? This problem confuses me since I got the above views from the solution.

I see the notch in C is not deep enough, but I don't see that in the given shape. For B the solution view shows the top horizontal bar as slightly thicker compared to that of the answer choices, which I think is not entirely correct given the original view. How can someone pick up on this minute subtleties. Is this question flat out wrong or ...?

Well in solution B it shows the to protruding levels (the lower two not the top, thicker one) as being different lengths, but in the picture they are the same length if you keep perspective in mind.

The notch in C is almost like a small square cut into the side, whereas in the shape given there is a clear length-width distinction.

In B, the middle horizontal part is almost equidistant to the top and bottom parts, and in the shape it's closer to the top. They're trying to tempt you into picking the most "obvious" choice with this one, but I've learned from doing practice problems that if you think there's even a minute difference (the location of the middle bar) it's most likely the wrong choice.
