Tulane is known for Tropical Medicine I think. (Makes sense!) My sister did their masters degree and an MD and is working in Thailand.

Tulane was where I was looking...thanks

I know there's a few journals on tropical medicine out there. I've read some articles from 'em and some of the stuff sounds pretty cool. Maybe you could page through a few articles and get a better idea of what M.D.'s are doing in the tropics.

Who gave pinta to the santa maria? Tracking the devastating spread of lethal tropical diseases into america. By Roberts S Desowitz

I think it was written by an MD who specializes in tropical diseases, particularly malaria. He did extensive research overseas but is know a faculty member at UNC.

That is a required class at UHSUHS. Look into the military?
