so i am starting to study for the written psyc boards but finding it so difficult to get in the groove of studying; why is it that in medical school i was able to study for 12hours straight in a poorly lit room that was freezing and uncomfortable and managed to pass all my exams and yet now i can't seem to get a good hour of studying in without multiple trips to the kitchen, bathroom, and without reading yahoo news or thesuperficial.com
what is wrong with me! i can't focus ! i need some adderall Now i am starting to think i should take one of those courses like the kaufman course
is anyone else having difficulties

-You can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel unlike when you were a student, so your flying towards the light rather than the darkness.
-You can still work without being board certified so it isn't 'essential' (i.e. -1 point for motivation)
-You haven't hit the wall yet. The wall is the point in your mind where it finally clicks, "Oh, shoot! I'm going to fail if I don't start today!"
-Those distractors at home are awesome. So you must leave them. Actually pick up your essentials (NO INTERNET) and go to a public library or university library. Proceed to study like you once did. If you need the internet to look random stuff up, write it down, and do it when you get home. Distractions are now eliminated. Go study!
