Hey all! I am currently completing the 2014 AMCAS and am running into some difficulties. I was home schooled during high school but took community college classes. As per the AMCAS instruction manual, I have filed the Year in School as High School. In 2006, I partially completed the GED and began taking classes at the same community college toward my Associates degree. Because I did not complete the GED until 2009 (various reasons why I didn't complete in 2006, none I want to mention in this post), AMCAS is not allowing me to categorize the courses towards my Associates as Freshman or Sophomore. I don't know what I should do: revise the date of GED conferral to 2006 so that I'd be able to enter the coursework as freshman/sophomore? I don't want my application to be potentially returned back because of date discrepancies. I would really appreciate advice on how to proceed with this. Thanks!

I would call AAMC directly and see if they have the answer. Yours seems to be a special case that not many of us have not dealt with before.
