1)what is the likelihood of internet stalking on sdn, unwanted googling of sdn'ers? (should i be concerned?)
2) people may be using more than one name on sdn  . is it likely that someone else can hack into and incorporate unused names?
3) anonymity is great, but what do you think of poseurs?
4) sumwhat unrelated, how many of you know of stalking exes?

serious post, thanks.

Dear serious poster,

if a real hacker/wierdo really wanted to get your stuff, he/she could easily do it with various other ways. SDN is kinda like a community. whenever you walk out into your town, your subject to stuff like that happening. u just gotta make sure that stuff like your SSN and ur CC number is kept safe. i mean, ppl like me have their MDapplicant thing in their link and u know where i went to undergrad and where i'm going to school. it's just one of those things that you take into account. just like walking down the street.

-i think.

1) slim to nil

2A) happens all the time. 2B) what on earth are you talking about, and why does this matter?

3) poseurs are generally bad, unless they are funny. then its ok.

4) don't know of any personally.

Many users feel very comfortable letting others know some of their personal information. But if you do not want other SDN users to know your personal information, then simply do not post your name, school, personal webpage, MDapps profile, etc. on the public forums. Be careful what information you post, what information you send via PMs and to whom you send personal information. In the event that you have a specific concern (e.g., someone has posted your personal information against your will), contact the moderators/administrators for assistance.

The Terms of Service allows one screen name per user. When multiple accounts of the same user are discovered, the user will be allowed to keep only one screen name.
