Trouble Understanding Credit System

Hi all

My university (im canadian), assigns 3 credits per course. However the credit amount is not the same as semester hours.

ie. Physics I is 3 credits- but its 3 hrs lecture + 3 hrs lab

so im wondering how it exactly works for me

im filling the minnesota supp right now and hav no idea what to put under "semester credits"

3, because once you input it on to aadsas it will be 3.

b-b-but some schools are asking for 8 semester hours of physics which i have, but it shows as 6 credits
