I am having trouble with AECOM and my email. I first noticed a problem when I was not emailed for a secondary so I called the office and surprisingly, the woman who picked up said that an invite had been sent to me and to check my spam folder. I checked all my spam mail and nothing. Shortly afterwards, I receive the email for the secondary so I fill out the secondary and submitted.

I submitted my secondary online on July 29th and followed that with mailing the paper receipt etc. on July 30th. I did not receive an email that I was complete; not even now after I called and learned that I have been complete since August 21st. The woman I talked to today was helpful but I do not think that she understands my concerns. She thinks that AMCAS has the wrong email address for me, which I am sure it does not. She says that AECOM probably typed in the number "1" instead of the letter "L" in my email address. Shouldn't everything be electronic?

I fear that I will never receive word on this $115 application even if I am "invited" for an interview.

I'm having problems with them as well, my primary went to them two weeks ago and I have yet to hear anything back. I emailed them last week to see if there was any problems and I got no response. I'm going to call them later today and see what's going on.

You already submitted so looks like there is nothing you can do about it except maybe check in every few weeks or so. It took me 6 weeks to get complete...

They've been really slow with everything and I'm sure they will get to it. Most schools say to give them 4 weeks to process a primary before calling.

I liked their secondary invite e-mail, it had an informal tone to it. Not that it matters...:laugh:
 
In a strange way, it's good to know that I'm not alone. I hope AECOM gets everything together. Good luck! I'll post again if they ever email me at the correct email address.

You may be better off contacting them via email. I had seen this advice in the Einstein secondary thread, and when I had a problem with my secondary, I emailed instead of calling. I got a quick and helpful answer.

This was my problem: after I submitted my secondary, I was taken to a screen with a link to my printable application. But when I clicked this link, I got only a black screen with an error message in computerese. I couldn't figure out how to print either my app or the payment receipt, which they want you to send in.

I emailed them about this yesterday afternoon at 3 pm, and got a return email first thing this morning. It contained working links for both the app and the receipt.

Given my favorable experience, I'm thinking that emailing works better than calling for these guys. They're probably overwhelmed with calls since the technology behind their secondary app is so crappy.
 
Just as a follow up, I got my secondary yesterday and I did not have to call them.
 
I'm itching to call them to check on the stat of my application..
