Hi everyone!

Just wanted to recommend the recently new product on the market for us DAT takers: DAT Genius

I just signed up and it seems great! You get 5 practice tests for each subject like bootcamp; the layout is very similar, and there are also unlimited cubes, angles, and hole punching with explanations!

Just thought I'd let others know!

That biology section was a killer and the PAT wasn't much better (in terms of easiness) haha. However, it is extremely good and very similar to Bootcamp. However, for biology especially 70% of the questions i'd say are grouped in the "hard" category, which is why it seems so difficult.

Bootcamp layout with the difficulty of Destroyer. Seems like a great idea!

Just throwing this out there, I did beta test for them while studying right before my test two weeks ago; their bio section was great but I found a few errors in their gen chem section that I reported. They were not live at that point yet, and I haven't been able to check them out since then, hopefully they fixed them but you never know.

I also thought all the sections were harder than the actual DAT, but I didn't try their PAT.

Dude this is hard, comparing to Bootcamps free test and these free tests its haaard. Demoralizing really, before i began studying for DAT i took Bootcamp and got 18 GC, 18 OC, 18 Bio and 19 PAT (lots of lucky guesses trust me) but now that I'm three and a half weeks in and about to finish the review part of my schedule, I took DAT Genius and my scores killed my day... 17 Bio, 16 PAT, 14 OC... and I honestly love ochem and i like to think im pretty good but man... one would think I would at least get same scores, but that much worse?!? im done
Silver lining though, its a great resource and really test your knowledge and your study habits, would still recommend!

Literally could not have said it any better. I scored a 16 in OC today and was about to lose my cool, haha. I thought it was the one topic I was solid on.

Bruh, ochem is my savior on the dat, so i thought haha. But honestly i really didnt spend too much time or effort on ochem review because i just had a year of it, now GC and bio is where i had to step it up, but I didnt even bother taking a GC Genius, im already bad as it is but i'd probably crash my car on purpose after seeing a GC genius score lol

I been scoring low 20s on a few other programs, DATGenius, I got an 18. That was a really hard first Bio Test I thought.

Bio Test 1 that is

lol, seems they must have someone who alerted them of this because they just posted that they had an error with the scoring algoritm and they adjusted it. I also got killed on organic and PAT. I found pat and bio explanations super helpful though and I also would recommend people check it out, I learned a lot from the top front end solutions
on the PAT i didnt have time to do the top front end lol, only did angle ranking, hole punching, not all keylholes, and cube counting... whoops and guessed on the rest of the 30 seconds i had.
I will say that the generator they have for PAT sections is AWESOME! been on it for a while now and really great

The angle generator is certainly more similar to Bootcamp's practice tests than bootcamp's generator. I wonder if bootcamp will put in a keyhole generator?

Bootcamp should be getting a pretty good update soon...I would assume!

I wonder if its also Ari. Everything seems the same, if not bootcamp could shut this site down with copyright issues....
but did the bio and wasn't too bad although ud never see that many physiology questions in a real test

The funniest thing is that a ton of Bootcamp's questions are quite similar to Destroyer

Got a 19 on GChem section....is that good or bad? since the exams are extra tough....

Honestly their Bio section explanations are amazing. I might actually get the subscription. I think this is better and cheaper than Qvault

DAT Destroyer and DAT Bootcamp have been around for sometime now and they are excellent products. What makes DAT Genius a good product?
If someone can afford only one of these products, why should they pick DAT Genius over Bootcamp and Destroyer?

DATGenius is new. It's good, but if I had to choose, go with BC and Destroyer! You cant go wrong with those two! So many people that have done well have used those resources, and I highly recommend them. They have helped me thus far, and I am certain they will help me on the actual.

Just registered with the username God.. let's see if I can live up to my reputation. Let's see how this compares to BC!

I tried the organic chemistry, general chemistry, and the biology.

I received a 20 in Biology and this was probably during my 1st week of studying. I thought it was okay.
For general chemistry, I thought it was very time-consuming. I made a 19 on this one. There is one question that had a mistake, and that's why I am not purchasing it anymore.
Organic chemistry, I made a 20 as well.

Overall, I know many of those questions will not be on the DAT. So, I am not bothering with the program.

Not trying to support them or anything, but I don't understand the thought process behind "many questions won't be on DAT so I won't do them". Some of the questions in destroyer are insane and unlikely to appear, but they solidify your knowledge of the subject. I mean if there is a 1% chance a question is on there that appears on the DAT which could potentially add or subtract a difference in your AA or TS, it doesn't hurt to try it. But I agree that errors/mistakes are not a good thing. I did the first DAT genius test and actually thought it wasn't horrible or too difficult for the scope of the DAT in comparison to some destroyer questions. But if I didn't have much time I would definitely stick with destroyer for the hard questions

True. What I really meant was that since it is all new, I am not sure how great of a resource the program really is. I am just utilizing my time wisely at this point.

Oh definitely. I have a decent time margin to study so I am now dabbling in other programs. I don't see a point in doing destroyer 5 times repeatedly up until the test date. Although I must admit that I still don't have 100% of everything in destroyer memorized and am still working on it, new problems never hurt!

Destroyer will over prepare you for the actual exam. I think that studying destroyer first and then transitioning to more realistic representations of the actual exam, i.e. BC, CrackPAT/Reading, is more advantageous. However, especially in the GC section destroyer you're going to waste a lot of time trying to work through detailed questions that are most likely more in depth than the actual exam (just from what I've heard).

Yea it just depends how much time you have left to hit problems that are crazier.

The owner should post his DAT scores, if he doesn't then we can't trust how good his product is if he can't even score high.

lol, DAT Genius is a solid DAT product and Joel is super helpful via email. I used DAT Genius as part of my prep and you have nothing to worry about

I am quite impressed with DAT genius. I'm taking my DAT in a few weeks and I think I'll focus on Bootcamp, Achiever and Topscore since I paid for them, but if I would have known I would have probably bought Genius as well. I don't know how similar they are to the real DAT but try out the free exam. Bio is pretty tricky (23), I liked Gen Chem a lot because it was very balanced in terms of variety, maybe a little to much calculation but it doesn't hurt (25), and Ochem again had fair, medium questions (27). Scores go down quite a lot considering I only got one wrong in GC and OC respectively. PAT has rock questions which I think is really cool. Haven't checked math or RC but I probably will since they're free. If you got time before the exam and still need practice, I would get the full package from DAT Genius. Good luck studying!!

Just tried the free test today, and I think the bio section here should be used as a learning tool like destroyer. It was a lot harder than bootcamp and Qvault. I scored ~24s on bootcamp, ~23 on Qvault, but this one free test on DATgenius I got a 20. It had decent amount of biochem stuff, and some really specific questions. Other sections were similar to bootcamp in my opinion.

Yeah. I thought bio was pretty difficult as well. I'll probably redo it since the first time I just kinda wanted to finish cause I didn't think the website would actually be good.

When's your exam?
