Trying to contact someone @ Univ. of Sydney

Hi,

I am an American that has 1 year left in residency and there is an opportunity I found about @ The University of Sydney that I am very interested in.

I have tried to e-mail the contact person (it's a university e-mail address) and I keep receiving a message stating that my e-mail system has been trying to connect with the recipient's, however, it has been unsuccessful several times.

I know this sounds silly, but is there anything in particular that I should do so that I can get in contact with this person? Their address ends in med.usyd.edu.au and I double-checked to make sure I typed everything correctly. I've never tried to e-mail anyone in Australia before!
