So I am going to be reapplying this cycle, but I received no interviews last cycle. Normally I feel this means that I have some major issue I need to fix. However, I am having issues trying to figure it out. I thought I had decent stats, so I am wondering if it is possible that my essays are the major issue. I plan on spending the whole month hardcore working on my personal statement and work/activities and have even made some extra cash to try and have a professional read and edit my essays. However there is still uncertainty. Can essays be a contributing factor in not getting IIs? Just sucks not getting a single II for the cycle and trying to get back up and do it all over again. Ill list some of my stats below and maybe others can help on things I can improve on. I will admit I am not the best essay writer, but I did not think I was terrible.

Quick Stats Summary of app stats: I applied to DO and MD, about a total of 25 schools. Submitted Primary the 25th of June

4. Head of First Aid at a summer camp (I have been told by some this doesn't count but others have said it does. Not sure if it does, but I do not mind it not counting as I already have lots of hours) Hours: 592 (non volunteer)

Any tips or ideas are much appreciated.

email all of your schools u applied to for feedback, a few will give some personalized feedback over email (most likely), phone, or zoom and that will help a ton.
