TSU's Summer Academy?

If so, what exactly is it?....doesn't say much in the letter.
Thanks
my friend in first year said it is like regular school and we will be tested at the end of it. But she also said that most people don't take it serious because the grade is not used for anything. I am hoping she is right.
Wait....I thought this Summer Academy was mainly for transfer students (like myself) who haven't taken a few of those extra pre-req courses that TSU requires like medical terminology etc.
Am I right or is this a completely different thing? If diff, what exactly will we be learning?
Thanks

Yeah, I went to see Ms. Davis and she said that too, however, she said if you take it serious it would help you in the long run. Also, they give out some prizes if you are able to answer a lot of questions right, you win prizes in the form of Text books (so u save ur money).
Good luck to you guys!

It is for everyone both transfer and TSU students. I transfered last spring and I have completed all pre-req courses. I will still be attending the summer academy.

I have a question, I needs to take one more prereq which is computer science in the summer session1. The class ends in the beginning of the summer academy. What should I do, do you think that they will penalize me if I dont go the first couple of day?. Also, does anyone know if Computer Science in high school will count for the computer sience requirement or do yo have to have it in college

Direct your question to the admissions office. Make sure you get something in writing because you can never trust TSU with verbal issues. You can never tell what crap they would pull in the last minute
I guess I'm still confused as to what exactly we'll be doing during this time. Is it mandatory for everyone? I know in the letter it says if you can't attend to notify the adcom, but then would those people need to take it later on?
From what I've read, it sounds like it will be prepping you for pharm school. Am I right?

From what I understand, it is manditory for all incomming P1 students (it wasn't in the previous years). It is designed to prep you for Pharm school @ TSU. We will have classes taught by pharm school professors reviewing orgo chem, biology, anatomy, ect. Also, I was told Dr. Milton has a course on "Professionalism". My friend who's going to be a 3rd year says it's helpful and will give you insight into the teaching styles and expectations of the pharmacy professors. Hope this helps you!
