Thought this might be helpful in the coming months when we hopefully start getting information! Anyone else on here waitlisted?
Congrats! And thanks!I am withdrawing soon, after my deposit goes through to a school that accepted me off the waitlist. I hope it goes to one of you guys.
thanks and congrats! 🙂I withdrew from Touro after getting pulled off the waitlist at another school. I hope it goes to one of you guys!! Best of luck all of you!
Nothing yet...the anticipation is roughHigh waitlist here too. Still havn't hear anything after that update email #1..... Anyone got the good news call yet?
I hope so too!!! Although who knows if they meant business days... 🙁Tomorrow is day 10 since they sent the email, so people should start hearing tomorrow...I hope.
It will be so random if he meant business days...So it's gona be next week then?I hope so too!!! Although who knows if they meant business days... 🙁
Super late interview, oos, 28/29 mcat 3.3s, 3.7cum, but strong reasons to be in Cali...If you guys don't mind me asking, what are your stats?
Anything on your application that red flags the schools to waitlist you?
Out of state?
interviewed in Feb, Mcat 29, 3.6s, 3.7cum, local in vallejo, like 10 min drive form the school...and that's one reason I REALLY wanna get in TOURO it's just SOO close (so no rent problem... that saves alot)If you guys don't mind me asking, what are your stats?

why not just withdraw if you aren't going to go (as requested in the first update email)?c&sGPA 3.3, MCAT 27. Was told it was probably my MCAT that got me high wait listed instead of accepted. In state, local. If I do get accepted, I will be withdrawing. Committing to TUNCOM.
Because I just made up my mind the other day and I want to have everything set for TUN before I withdraw...just in casewhy not just withdraw if you aren't going to go (as requested in the first update email)?
I forgot about the 3pm Friday thing...I need to keep that in mind so I can unglue my phone from my hip! Maybe this week there will be some movement! It will be so random if he meant business days...So it's gona be next week then?
Anyway I think they work half day only on Friday and it's past 2pm now and still nothing... (sigh
yeah, I have to agree with you there... 🙁Still trying to stay positive but starting to think maybe they had the class all filled already....
It seems like the admission standard really moved up a lot since the last few years for Touro and now it feels like the school really just want ppl with high MCAT score.... I guess being in the sf bay just make the school popular
this process has not been easy...that's for sure!Still trying to stay positive but starting to think maybe they had the class all filled already....

I m kina to the point wishing to just get a straight up "no" answer so I can just stop freaking out everytime my phone rings or when I see emails coming in during their business hour.....this process has not been easy...that's for sure!
I completely agree...I am on SDN and my gmail account CONSTANTLY during business hours....it totally sucks. I feel you.I m kina to the point wishing to just get a straight up "no" answer so I can just stop freaking out everytime my phone rings or when I see emails coming in during their business hour.....
It will be much easier if i can see how many seats left and how many ppl in front of me in waitlist so I can just figure my chance(and maybe just simple give up this cycle) instead of just waiting and waiting..![]()
Hang in there guys. One of my friends got accepted to UCLA two days after class started last cycle. There is hope. Keep submitting your update letters and showing interest. He submitted 3 of them before he got word. I can feel your frustration in waiting. It can literally drive you nuts. Do something to help your application instead of waiting around. I sent a thank you letter addressing the question I didn't think I gave the best answer to during the interview and got a reply from Dr. G the very next day. Accepted 3 days later.
No offense, but as someone who was never on the waitlist, I'm not sure you DO understand...this comes across as pretty rude in my opinion...what am I supposed to do to "help" my application? I've been on the waitlist for a month and school starts in a month, I sent a letter of intent and a new rec, but beyond that its pretty out of my control at this point. Thanks for the sympathy, but I don't think your advice quite applies here...
Hmmm... thinks for your advice but since I don't really have anything to update for my application, all I can do is wait for the miracle and prepare for the next cycle.I'm sorry if that sounded offensive. It is really difficult to convey tone (especially when typing on a phone keyboard). I was only empathizing with everyone here. I should have mentioned I'm on three waitlists, including at a school I've had my heart sent on for ten years. I've sent 4 update letters to that school and was moved from low waitlist to the high waitlist. I may not be in the exact same situation, but I did feel for all of you and am glad we all have each other. I am extremely thankful for my acceptances and am glad I have the opportunity to pursue my passions and my dream, and I wish that everyone here has the receives the same opportunity soon.
Wow, that was rude on your part. Cool it Dr. House. Jiji said she can "feel your frustration." Jiji may not be in your shoes but she was trying to be helpful. There's no need to take out your frustration on someone else and shut down a friendly comment.
Besides, you have already been accepted to medical school. You should be more appreciative of your circumstances and that includes the supportive people on this forum. Enjoy your time off before school starts rather than spending it checking your email and sdn.

Anyway the whole waitlist thing is frustrating from the beginning to me (sure same for everyone else) . I guess the best thing to do for me now is just improve whatever that was not good enough about my application and go for the next.
Re-taking the MCAT in a month anyway, a better score will never hurt, right? 🙂
BTW I did email the school to update my contact info last week and the office replied my email in like less than 10 min. So it seems like if they DO have good news, the notice will come fast.
Finger crossed... >_<
Yes, someone got pulled last week with a 32 I believeAny 30+ mcat applicants get waitlisted here this past cycle?
I withdrew from the high waitlist. Here comes the second email update...... He did mention that low and medium waitlisted are basically done for this cycle.
It seems like they did give out all the offers again and just waiting to see anyone turning down the offer at this time
Did anyone email them recently and get any info back?
And also, did anyone withdraw the waitlist??
