Tufts Decisions

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I interviewed in December and I haven't gotten a response yet. It might have to do with a delay of a regularly scheduled NIH training grant review, which is/was being discussed in the MD/PhD acceptances thread.

I was just wondering because during my interview they mentioned contacting them if we hadn't heard back by the end of February. I called the office and they changed the timeline to contact within two months from now. Kind of shocking, especially when the committee has already met and ostensibly made decisions.

Wait, what? Two months?? As in ...anytime from now until final decisions are basically due?

Yeah. I guess the keyword is "within." This was of course, covering everything from acceptance to rejection. Rejection will be by mail from the med school. Acceptance is a call plus an e-mail. Then everything in between is e-mail. I'm sure acceptances will go out earlier, but I'm assuming that the original notification time for status at end of February is out the window.

Not sure how targeted this email was, but I got one this morning asking if I was still interested in Tuft's MSTP because "We anticipate moving relatively quickly at this point" to make decisions. So they should probably come soon!

Pretty sure it was a blanket e-mail, but yeah. I sincerely hope that everyone else in the applicant pool already got into their (different) first choice and withdrew their app. 🙂 Really hope for good news soon.

Got the same e-mail this morning--I imagine it's an e-mail to all their interviewees (or maybe those they are seriously considering) to cross off those who have already gotten in to places they would go over Tufts.
