Sorry all - I hate starting a thread for something that can be easily searched, but since I couldn't find anything...

I called Tufts today and was complete a few days ago...the woman said "a letter will be going out to you" which I thought meant a complete letter, but could it be something else? Do they send out complete letters or just interview/rejection?

Yea it'll just be a letter to say you're complete. Still haven't gotten an interview letter from there and i've been complete for a long time. I probably got rejected :/

I've been complete at Tufts since end of Aug/early Sept. Still no word from them. Anyone complete longer w/o an interview? For those with interviews, congrats, how long did it take?

ive been complete since july.... no word... not even a rejection....

my complete letter was dated aug. 22 and i haven't heard a word since. although, now that i have received a few acceptances, i'm not really too worried about them anymore. i do think it's absurd how long some schools sit on complete applications...even if they're not interested, i'd rather just get the rejections.

They interview late; didn't start until October 18th. I was complete on 8/29, got my letter to invite in the beginning of October. Don't worry about it, it's still really early in the season, especially for Tufts. If they interviewed me, they'll interview anyone.

Their completion letter said they don't reject anybody until February, so it's hard to say if there's still a chance if you've been complete for a while or not.

That completion letter was cruel...don't you think they'd know that the last thing an applicant wants to see is a thin envelope from a med school? Nevertheless, I received it 9/19, and got an invite on 10/8.

I got my interview invite about 2 weeks after I was complete through snail mail. My friend has AMAZING stats and a couple of acceptances, and she still hasn't heard anything from them. So I don't know what the deal is. Hopefully they'll get a move on!

Check out their website-- I'm pretty sure they don't start rejecting people until February or something like that. I'm guessing it's a completion letter.

They're probably interviewing all the people that filled in that optional essay of "special reasons for attending med school in MA"

I didn't fill it out because, frankly, I don't have any special reasons.

it did have a true feeling of "optional" i have a letter of rec from a professor who is their alumni and still no word.

from the official tufts thread, i posted that tufts started interviewing really really late this year... on oct.18 they began interviews...

they began then to offset any aug mcaters who thought they would be at a disadvantage.

i had called tufts on thursday.

they are very behind.

Nothin here either. Sent my secondary a long time ago....

One of my 7 letters came from a med prof from Tufts who I also shadowed etc. etc.

No clue!
