I heard Tufts is pretty strict on requiring science LORs from bio and chem professors. I have 1 LOR from a bio professor, but the other two are from professors in grad schools (nursing, dental).

Do you know if they'll accept this?

I would contact Tufts with that question. Just quick call their admissions office.

Required Letters of Evaluation:

One letter from a Biology professor and;
One letter from a second science professor - Biochemistry, Chemistry, Math or Physics
Or

A pre-professional composite committee letter

I remember someone on SDN calling Tufts last cycle and they were able to send two bio professors. So give the admissions a call.

You have to call them and see...

I doubt they'll accept. they are SOOOO strict

HUH, they need a chem professor now? their site says 1 bio + one other science

I called today. They said they wouldn't accept LORs from a dental prof or from 2 bio profs 🙁

The only exception to the rule is submitting a committee letter

is one microbio and the other biochem ok?

That shouldn't be a problem. I sent one genetics and one biochem.

I wonder whether Gross Anatomy is categorized as biology for them..

Yeap, I sent (requested) one from a Chemistry professor, and biochemistry with the application. I sent an email to TUFT asking them if they will let me send a Bio one directly to them..I have to think now of who will I harass?? 😕

I hate to be chasing professors and begging for letters!
