my girlfriend is having trouble with her decision...

Your thoughts?

Your girlfriend should be asking herself 🙂
Those two programs are both extremely great, but then again so is almost every vet school program. My vote would be for Tufts, because of Cornell's lack of an interview process. But really, your girlfriend should be going wherever her gut is telling her to go. One school almost always "feels right" over another, and your girlfriend should seriously consider why the one that doesn't feel right is still in the running in her mind.
For me, it was between Michigan and Ohio. Michigan felt right, but the chance to switch residency in Ohio would save me ~$60k in the next four years. In the end, the money wasn't enough to sway me away from the school that felt right.
So my advice to your girlfriend - don't ignore your gut feelings

valid point...I think I'm just looking for information more than anything...she has been doing her own research, been to both campuses, looked over the Aid, etc. I'm looking for the one thing that maybe she missed, that can be the gem, set her on her way, and I can be a hero...

deep down...I think she'll be a tufts. I think thats what her Gut is telling her

I am in a similar situation to your girlfriend, but I am still waitlisted at cornell. ive been trying to decide whether or not I will accept the position at cornell if I am taken off the waiting list, and it's been tough. I think i will go to tufts though, because I've already been in ithaca for 4 years (CU undergrad) and i really got a great feeling at tufts. she should just go wherever she feels like she could live happily for 4 years and where they have the programs that interest her 🙂

They are both good schools so really, she should go with the one she liked best. I got into both and I decided to go to Cornell, but that was not without first considering Tufts.
In my opinion the major difference between the two schools is the curriculum with Cornell being a school that is heavily a problem based learning (PBL) system. Some people would probably learn better with PBL while others really prefer the independance of learning through didactic lecture.
Your girlfriend should really consider her learning preferences in making her decision.
Another difference between the two schools is that Cornell tracks heavily while Tufts does not track (although they do offer signature programs to students interested in specific areas of veterinary medicine). This may be something for your girlfriend to think about depending on how much she knows now about what sector of veterinary medicine she will eventually go into and if she plans to go on to do an internship or residency.
Just my two cents.
