Tufts School of Dentistry Class of 2029 Interview/Acceptance Thread

What’s the chance of getting an interview after receiving the “continued interest” email?
I'm wondering the same thing. I saw in previous year's threads that most people who received a "continued interest" email also received an interview either within a few days or weeks after receiving the email, but a few never heard back. Keeping my fingers crossed for us!

Did u get an interview?
So I actually got a invite for the conditional deferred program where I had to complete a masters. I interviewed for the program and got in this cycle by completing the masters with a required gpa. So I only interviewed for the program and got in. Hope that helped. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Do they waitlist before sending the deferred acceptance program or do they specifically interview for deferred acceptance? Also do you have an idea of how many people are usually taken off the waitlist?

To those who interviewed after Tuesday Jan 28 has anyone heard back?

does anyone know if tufts accepts letters of interest and if it would be worth it to send one? i received a continued interest email, but haven't heard anything after

I have sent a letter of interest form however I have not received a continued interest email. My stats are DAT 1st Attempt(24 Bio 16 GC and OC) DAT 2nd attempt 20AA(21 Bio 20 GC and OC) and 3.10 CGPA and 3.16 Science GPA. I am currently enrolled in a Post-Bacc and got a 3.68 GPA last semester which I have sent. What are my chances of getting a continued interest email? Any advice would be appreciated.

I was not even interviewed to be considered to start dental school so idk about the waitlist movement tbh. I was sent an email that asked if I was still interested to which I replied yes. Then in march, I got an email from them saying they have selected me to be considered to the deferred acceptance program. I went through that process and in that process they interview you. (note you could still be denied after that interview round its not a guaranteed acceptance to the deferred program either) Once your selected to the deferred program, after that, you have to complete your condition. I completed mine and now im entering for D'29. I did not have to reinterview since I already interviewed for them last cycle for the deferred program and they accepted me into it.

your second attempt DAT is good and so is your post-bacc gpa. Im not quite sure about how they look at post-bacc gpa, but for masters I know that above a 3.5 is competitive. I wouldn't lose hope. I didn't get my email last cycle till March.

Could you share your stat? I am also waiting for an interview and I got continued interest email early February

3.2 undergrad gpa, 19AA on DAT, over 500 shadowing hours, over 500 volunteering hours, worked as a PT tech during covid. Masters GPA: 4.0

Woah that’s amazing! Which interview did you have on 2/12 like the main one through Kira? What was the timeline of all of yours?

I can answer for you, i kind of had the same timeline. My kira was due 2/5, then had the main interview 2/11, then was accepted 2/13. I won’t be taking the offer though, good luck in your interviews!

Ok thank you! One last question: when you got the acceptance how long did they give you to make the decision? 2 weeks?

For the one-on-one interview, what day of the week was did you all have it? Mine is supposed to be next week someday but they haven't said which day yet

I don't think there is a specific day. Mine and some people i know was on different days

Did anyone who was at presentation day 2/21 hear back with an acceptance yet??

Yeah, I thought they would reach out to us right after the adcom meeting. I guess we'll have to wait until Monday.

Are they done with interviews for the cycle? Cause the GroupMe is at 181 ppl.
Update: count is 194... my friend who was accepted and in the Groupme said a couple more people were admitted. trying to stay optimistic about this cycle but also realistic. luckily Tufts conducts interviews through March I also know someone who got accepted in May!
