whats the cost of living in ann arbor (or wherever u. michigan is)? because cost of living in boston is ridiculous, and some people simply cant afford it.

other things:
did students seem happy at both?
were the facilities adequate at both?
is class size important to u?

lots of other things.. its really up to u

Thanks. yeah Tufts tuition is more expensive than Michigan and probably the cost of living too, but I don't want to choose a school over another simply because of money. Facilities and class sizes are similar and at both schools the students seemed really happy.
Anyone else? help me 😍

What are your geographic preferences? I don't think that you could possibly go wrong with either school. UMich is more prestigious, I guess, but both offer solid clinical training. The other thing to consider is can you gain instate residence in Michigan after your first year? If you can, that may be a big factor.

At the interview they said that you cant gain residency..if u enter as a non-resident.

It is impossible to gain instate tuition at U of M if you applied as an out of state resident. I would definately choose Tufts if I were you. I interviewed at U of M and was accepted and would not go there. UDM class of 2010!

I would go to Tufts. You will get more opportunities in Boston than in Ann Arbor.

I would choose Tufts. Boston is a great city... but more importantly, Tufts has a great program. My bro-in-law is a graduate of Tufts dental and I know a current student and they both loved it. It's actually because of seeing their facilities and meeting some of their students that I decided to go back to school to tackle pre-dental requirements. My bro-in-law has an AWESOME chairside manner that he attests to his Tufts training. It's definately on the top of my list!
