I've been accepted to both, among others. I've narrowed it down to these two because of fiancées job opportunities. I know tuition, COL, weather, life style of both places. I am now trying to figure out which school is better for a general practitioner.

Thank you for the reply, but that wasn't the question. Without going into my personal finances, I'd like to know which program is better.

I am leaning towards MWU. Asusundevilll, I'm guessing you are there. Can you tell me what you like and how your experience has been?

both tuitions are similar but az has much cheaper cost of living. So unless you have a compelling reason to live in Boston. It's always better to go cheaper

I am getting married in June. My fiancé has job opportunities in both places that we must take into consideration. I realize AZ has a cheaper cost of living. I am trying to compare schools, aside from the tuition.

My experience with Tufts is limited but here's what you need to know about MWUAZ to compare with someone at Tufts. 3rd/4th year can be incredible clinical years… I say CAN BE because your approach to dealing with pts comes into play greatly. Presenting a tx plan that you make $0 on as a student, but that can be up to $36,000 can be daunting and many of my classmates have pts that reject the tx plans. packing your schedule/ double booking and doing multiple crown preps in a visit is easier because you have a partner 3rd/4th yr student to split stuff with. 2 people working together can definitely do more than one person alone can. Ask someone how many pts can you feasibly see in one day at Tufts? I've seen 7/8 pts in one day ranging from crown prep, implant uncovering, EXT-post op, to denture reline, and a few composites/amalgams. It CAN be done. Not every day, but you can easily do 30-40 crowns in school. Especially if you pay attention to the E4D training and stay after to learn more about it. E4D isn't the greatest system but it can work and I've been able to do 4 E4D same day crowns in a week. takes all afternoon but you can squeeze in a denture adjustment/post op/ OS consult in between to be efficient. You won't be disappointed if you come to MWU is the bottom line. If not already, this school will be the top clinical school in the country pretty soon.
