Based on these, Pitt looks at least 50k cheaper (don't exactly feel like doing the math right now lol) and that's a hefty sum of money.
Both are in great cities with a lot to do but the cost of living in Pittsburgh is significantly cheaper than that of Boston.
I think the class size of Pitt is smaller, too.
Which did you enjoy more on interview day? Unless it was Tufts by a landslide, my vote would be to go to Pitt.

Pitt if it's significantly cheaper. I interviewed at both and although tufts was essentially a luxury school (perfect in every way except price lol), the price tag seriously stressed me out. I was pleasantly surprised by Pittsburgh and their school exceeded my expectations. They seem to care about and listen to their students while keeping up with new technology changing in the field.

However I am I state for Pitt so the price tag was significantly different. If tufts was within maybe 10k in price id probably go there.

Can you elaborate what you meant by Tufts being a "luxury school?" What specifically did you like about them?

Of all the schools I interviewed at, I initially liked Pitt the most. I did like tufts a lot tho too. I'd probably rank Pitt as the better experience

If you like Pitt more and it's cheaper, then go there. That seems like a win-win lol

I think I will. My family is pushing me in that direction as well. 7/10 said tufts though so it's got me a little uneasy lol

I haven't applied to either, but both are fantastic programs from what I have heard. A close friend is going to be graduating from Tufts this year and she has LOVED the school. It all comes down to preference. I do know that Boston is awesome, the school is phenomenal, but the cost is a bit pricey. Ask around and message some people who go there, and they might be able to give you some more thorough answers. Congrats on both acceptances you deserve it.

Thanks buddy, I'm lookin into it a lot of mixed responses but we'll see.

Haven't seen you in awhile, glad you're back!

OP, I voted for Tufts. I interviewed at both and I can tell you with all the things you listed as factors you wanted us to consider I saw Pitt all the way. Overall the cities of Boston and Pittsburgh are toss ups, as my two favorite in the country I've ever spent more than a day or two in. There are neighborhoods in Boston where you won't be living (Back Bay, Kenmore, etc) unless you want a monster commute on the T that are my favorite, but the Oakland area of Pittsburgh where you'll live and be walking distance to school can't be beat. Cost speaks for itself, and I personally liked Pitt's program better although that is a highly individual and subjective assessment you have to make for yourself.
Thanks for the input!
