I'm not yet accepted to UNLV, and I was told that I could call tomorrow and find out. I think it's the only one that I'd turn down Tufts for. I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys, maybe there's something I haven't thought about for one of the schools. I really loved both of them when I went out to interview.

defintely vegas. think about how fast you can earn that tuition money.

Oh man, gambling and me are a bad combination. I once blew all my tuition, rent, and gas money in one weekend. And Vegas was just a spot on the way to Tijuana. Not the best of road trips. Since then I've learned to control my little addiction. Any way, yeah I'm leaning toward vegas too.

I have the same problems but I still chose Vegas. Maybe we can loose everything at the same table!

If I were not from Vegas, I'd choose UNLV. I'm not too crazy for Boston. Whatever Boston has, we have it here at Vegas.

Is this a discussion of which school is better or which city is better? Without a doubt, Tufts is a far superior dental school to UNLV. Unless you are 100% set on becoming a general dentist, with no aspirations of specialization, in which case you can make a good argument for choosing UNLV, as their curriculum is clearly geared towards making GPs.

Why would you say that? Every curriculum should be geared that way, since atleast 80% of us will be GPs, duh, thats the point isn't it, a dental school, produce good dentists. Trust me we learn everyhting every other school learns, I actually think that they are really tough on us as I compare some other friends at other schools. If getting into the clinic early, having nice sim labs and clinics is what you are talking about then yes we have that, but as far as curriculum geared towards GP? And Tufts isn't. Okay then enough said.
