tufts vs Upenn??????????

hi guys,
can anyone please tell me about Upenn? i have got lot of negative remarks from people . i dont know if it is true ,what so bad about Upenn? can anyone tell me about Upenn please ???
is it worth attending an interview or is it waste of time ?
coz i have been accepted in tufts and i seem to like the school ,but
i want to try in Upenn since it is very close to me.
can anyone tell me whether tufts is better or Upenn ?????????

Could you share with us your credentials. Like GPA, Boards, Toefl., etc. I heard good things about Tufts and that it is V difficukt to admission there. It will be hwlpful if you let us know the details. Also the Dos and Donts for tufts.

well , it was very good experience in the tufts.though it is slightly competative u will get it if u have good score in both part 1 and 2.
they have a min requirement of 90 in part 1 and 85 in part 2 and rest all is same as for the other schools .

Congratulations for having been accepted into tufts.
I am surprised to hear that u have heard negative remarks about Upenn!!!
As far as I know Tufts is a good school and Upenn is a very good school too.
I do think it is tough to get into Upenn. and they normally dont just concentrate on ur scores(scores do matter) but look for other things too. If u still have time fer tufts and if u get an interview date with Upenn in the mean time, then I dont see any reason why u shud not attend the interview. Probably that might help u decide on the school.

Upenn doesnt like to have student pool of the same ethnicity (cough cough** desi's ) 🙂 if they have many appplicants from the same ethnic background they will not accept all of them even if they have top scores.
Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you that Upenn looks for more diversity.
But from what i know the last 2 year advanced standing batches have a lot of desis.

I am not studying at Upenn. I have met quite a few people associated with Upenn to find out what exactly we need to get into that school.
I called their admissions office to find out that the class average for this year (advance standing program) is 89.5.

What does "desi's" means?
