Tufts: when to buy textbooks?

I talked to some 2/3/4 year students that live near me and they said not to buy them until you go to class because the professors will tell you what books are necessary then. Also, they mentioned that sometimes 2nd years will give 1st years their old books. I'm crossing my fingers for that one. Anyhow, I plan to buy my books online at whichever stores are the cheapest. I usually find textbooks through Bigwords http://www.bigwords.com/

A 2nd year student told me not to buy the books for neuroanatomy, nutrition, biochem, physiology, oral health promotion, and ethics, since she didnt use them.
