Hey guys,

So basically my GPA is not hot and one reason is that I took a really bad undergrad JC semester of Physics w/ Lab (thats equivalent to about 8 quarter units) and got a C. Now I need a GPA booster and because Tufts isn't going to be taking that anyways, should I retake the Physics at my 4-year university (it should be an easy A).

My concern is that the other universities will look at it as a pathetic attempt at boosting my GPA and look down on me for it. Do you think that is the case? Will they be open minded enough to know that some dental schools won't take JC and so me retaking physics is acceptable and not pathetic? thanks for the input.

I don't see anything pathetic about repeating physics after you got a C. Repeating after a B would be more of a greedy attempt to boost your GPA. Besides, I'm not convinced adcoms analyze everyone's transcripts like we think they do. They have to look at so many and probably do a much more cursory look than we think.
