Hello. I will be graduating as a fith year senior with a degree in "Cellular and Molecular Biology/Biochemistry." Yeah. Long name. Spring 2009 is when I graduate.

I had pretty crappy grades during freshman and sophmore years but I pulling things up quite a bit. I won't apply to any medical schools until after I graduate. I've given some thought to a one year masters during the year gap.

I was looking into the MS in Cell and Molecular Biology program at Tulane.
I noticed that applications are open Jan 1. However, the deadline is June 15.

BUT...they dont even start "accepting applicants until June 1 on a rolling bases."

Am I misreading something? Is this really true? I see this as an advantage because more grades will be visible to adcoms.

Its true. This is because the program is focused on pre-meds that arent having application luck.

well if you really wanna do this program I would still get my apps as early as you can. I called them before June 1st to see how many spots they had open and they said that they had already send out 11 acceptances. When I asked that the website states that rolling admissions begin after June1st, they said that these were apps that they definitely wanted so they accepted them even before june 1st.
