I spoke to a resident who recently graduated from the Tulane program less than two years ago and he said looking back he felt he received terrible training. Learning by mistake instead of from the staff. Stated he was operating completely alone without faculty support and when problems arose the staff was no where to be found. From what I heard from him, I think this program needs to be shut down and it is quite an irresponsible program. I doubt the residents will be open about this during the interviews, so try to ask directly.
Maybe it has changed in the last year. So if anyone knows better, please post.
