hello, I was recently accepted to TUNCOM and I have an interview later in November at BCOM. Has anyone interviewed at both? Any reason to choose BCOM over Touro NV even though it's a new school with no track record? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
More established, a new dean with a great track record (KCUCOM & RVUCOM (CO)), cool academic pathways, near a really fun city, good clinical rotations in Nevada, lots of outdoor activities you can do unique to the area (e.g. rock climbing) good matching, nice school with nice people.. Also Henderson is the second safest city in the United States according to the people that spoke at my interview day.
It's probably cheaper to travel to Henderson with the McCarren International Airport nearby too.. El Paso was kind of expensive when I looked. This probably depends on where you come from, but it's good to keep in mind if you plan on visiting home or having friends/family visit occasionally.
I declined my interview at BCOM because I was accepted at a school I knew I would enjoy more than BCOM (location-wise), but I did interview at TUNCOM and was impressed by what they had to offer..
So I'm slightly biased, but hey, others will chime in I'm sure.
I actually had(have?) the same problem. I am already accepted but have a interview at BCOM in 2 days. I fought back and forth about cancelling interview but...I think Im going to go. I will give you a good breakdown later this Monday after my interview. Im pretty sure I wont be attending BCOM but you'll never know. Stay tuned.
TUNCOM 100%. BCOM = new, no graduated class, no board scores to compare, still fixing kinks in academics, still building up their faciltiies, location isn't highly desirable, and worse of all you have to take out private loans and I will say that when I was set to go there my loans for ONE YEAR were $78k and that was average. The medical school I attend now costs me $22k per year for everything.
