i think i have seen people say on the form that if you get the supplemental for Tuoro-Ny and complete you're guaranteed the interview is that true.

Yeah its true. They give you your date once you get all the forms/letters in.

Same for NYCOM.

Good luck

rlly? awesome 👍 .. touro's secondary and fee are rough though 🙁

There is a major difference b/w touro and nycom in that touro sends the secondary based on meeting a gpa and mcat criteria (i believe it was 3.0 and 24 last yr). Nycom looks at the entire app and invites you on the interview based on the whole thing. So you cannot predict whether or not you will def recieve an interview/secondary based on gpa and mcat at nycom.

Good luck with the process!

I just know about Touro-NY wasn't aware about NYCOM. Well touro their app is like 300 dollars and Mr. Figueroia (dont know how to spell his name) told me that everyone who applies gets a interview. I have his email and can post it up if you guys want. I also have the whole touro folder thing since I go up there time to time for a tour. Yeah that's my number one school right there. If anybody wants I can get more info because I'm usually around that area once a week because I volunteer 10 blocks away from the school.

wow 300 dollars for a secondary? thats ridiculous...

it was actually $200 for the secondary. it was the most expensive by far (PNWU was the second closest, with $175), but it was worth it since i ended up being accepted (and now will be attending in the fall).

yes, it is expensive, but is it worth turning down a potential acceptance? especially since acceptances are so hard to come by these days...

If everyone who receives a secondary application also receives an interview, then the chances of acceptance isn't anymore greater. In addition with their ridiculously high secondary application fee, I don't think it's worth it unless you really want to attend Touro-NY for various reasons and live in NYC.

If I knew their secondary was that much I would have saved some money on my primary by not applying.

Yup. And I remember my interview with them was a bit more "hardcore" than the other ones (they really were out to grill me). But I guess just having that chance to really show them what you are made of person to person makes the app worth it for a lot of the applicants.
