Is it beneficial for me to turn in my AADSAS app in right now all the other stuff or should I wait until I have my DAT scores? I'm still furiously studying for the DAT (plan to take it end of July at the latest) and have only filled out the transcript part of the AADSAS. My letters of rec are sitting at my health professions office waiting to be sent and I'll have to get an official transcript. Should spend some time filling out the app and questions and getting it sent off right now? It might take some time away from studying, but if it'll help my chances I think it'll be worth it. What do you guys think??

Thanks for all the help everyone! I'd be lost without this forum

I would send in my AADSAS w/o scores. The schools are going to want the official ones from the ADA anyway.

Send it in, man! Not only will you be one step closer to having everything completed, but you'll have the chance to be invited for an interview. Some schools will invite even without DAT scores.

I agree with Tpyo, my friend got interview invites w/o having LORs.

Looks like I'll be working on that app. Is there a place online where I can get average DAT / GPA scores for dental schools? I did a search on google but found scores that were two years old. I ordered my Guide to Dental Schools, but it hasn't come yet. I know I want to apply to USC, UOP, UCLA, Loma Linda, UNLV, and Arizona, but other than those I'm not really too sure. I'd like to stay relatively close to the west coast.

Send it in. Like an above poster said, the schools don't go by what is on the AADSAS application, but rather they use the official score report forms that are sent to them from the ADA.
