Hey guys, I have an interview this Friday the 2nd at UH and didn't know that the interview questionaire, essay, and self-evaluation were due on the 23rd by noon. I realized this yesterday and completed all three and turned them in before this morning the 26th. I've e-mailed admissions but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Anyone know if I'm still eligible for my interview?

lateralus 1441,

i have an interview at UH on 3/23 and is working on my pre-interview questions and essay...just wondering if you end up going to yours on 3/2.

oh yea i went it was great. a little more intense than the UT interview but still not bad. they were cool about me sendin the forms in a little late. if u have any questions feel free to ask

that is good, indeed. during the interview..did they asked you to comment on your questionaire? how was the group exercise? i also was interviewed at UT on 2/17...have you heard from UT?

Man lateralus, UH was more intense than UT?! Wow, I didn't think UH was intense at all. I actually thought that UH was pretty laid back. Now I wanna go to a UT interview just to see how laid back it is. Congrats on the interview, best of luck.

hahaha, yea I'm serious UH was actually more intense than the UT interview. I only say more intense due to the onsite essay+group activity+more questions asked during interview factoring up. Looks like you won't be needing an interview at UT since you're already accepted and all, congrats!!😎

did you guys turn in all your applications really early? How long was the overall process? (essay, group, interview). I still haven't heard anything back from UH yet but I think it's because I turned in my application later than most. (probably the stupidest thing ever, since it's rolling ad)

also, when you guys went to UH, where did y'all park? I know UH has a lot of designated areas for mainly students and faculty.

sorry for all the questions 🙂

i applied fully by january 9th. process lasts about 4 hours and will be explained when u get ur interview invite. I enjoyed the experience and Im sure u will too. parking is easy and will be explained when u get an invite everything u needa know is in there.

UofH interview was soooooooooo much more laid back than UT! True, there are more events and the process is longer. But, the interview-so much more fun at UH than UT

hahaha, go COOGS! to the person who asked when we applied, I submited my complete application before November, so late October. I actually was worried because it took me so long to do it (an entire month, man that sucked). don't give up hope yet, UH gets alot of applicants each year, so give them some time to filter everyone out.

Anyone going to be at the interview on 3/30?

I personally think UH interview is one of the most intense ones I've been too, just 2nd place compared to Mercer--my most intense but most enjoyed one. Especially I got that post-interview call...

Sounds like so many people applied to Mercer. Is that a really good school? Does anyone know how Houston is ranked compared to other schools in Texas?

Mercer is a very reputable school and has a very good pharmd program. It's situated within a complex of several teaching medical centers just like the TMC that UH is housed in. I think both UH and Mercer are very good schools as they are all very clinically-oriented, unlike other schools training retail pharmacists. That's why I applied to both of them and got into dilema deciding which one to go to as both accepted me. In Texas, I assume that UT is like the top and then Tech, AM and UH come after in equal competitiveness. The new UIW might be after that. I am not sure about TSU. It's just that I like both UH and Mercer though. For Mercer, I like the way they break 11 systems down into blocks and integrate therapeutics into it--to me, I'd remember things better that way I guess. For UH, I like how it's housed within the TMC where I have chances to interact with other people from UT, Baylor... When I was at MErcer, there are a lot of people coming from Texas interviewing also. It's a competitive school too for Georgia though private. And Atlanta where it stays is just like Houston: diverse, big cities... That's what make me so troubled now figuring out where to go LOL.
