So I ran across this new show starring an "ED doc" on Hulu last night. Gotta love Hollywood. So here's the premise of the story:

An ED doc gets fired from his hospital job because (listen up) he 'left a rich, STEMI patient to die' after he stabilized and cathed him (EM cards fellowship must be on the horizon) and went to save a young, black kid who collapsed while playing basketball with him. Okay, so he's fired, gets depressed, breaks an engagement and his brother finally shleps him up to the Hamptons to crash a party. Upon where, he saves a beautiful young woman who had been smelling flowers and gotten organophosphate'ated with some atropine and an 'antidote' from the security guard's kit. So then the rich homeowner wants him to be their concierge doctor, and now word has spread through the Hamptons about this wonderful doctor..with me so far? Oh, and he has an Indian 'PA' sidekick who seems to know more medicine than PA's or doctors for that matter should and whose backstory is apparently that she has rich parents who don't want her practicing medicine but she keeps a 'secret, PA life'.

Okay, it gets worse, but there's the crux. A good watch simply for the horribly-cheesy lines and the implausibility of it all.

Yeah, I don't understand how that show got such a high rating on IMDB, its completely cheesy and unrealistic. Also, I could have sworn that I heard him said that he was a cardiothoracic surgeon in the first episode.

I thought I heard him say that too. Not sure how they went to him being an ER doc. But a fun show to watch nonetheless.

the cardiothoracic thing was probably because he did an angioplasty on the old "donor" and then pacemaker insert on the kid with 3rd degree block. But he is supposed to actually be an ED doc....go figure
