I think it has been awhile since we have talked about this. Wondering what everybody is watching right now. What you would recommend.

Slow Horses: Currently in the middle of, enjoying this one a lot. British secret service drama
Ted Lasso: New season just a couple of episodes but so far so good
Deadloch: Australian police drama/Comedy. Liked the first season a bit better than the second. Need subtitles for the english....
The Bear: Watched the final season and liked it. The previous season drove me crazy so glad they landed the plane
The PITT: wife and I got really invested. The medical stuff for once didn't drive me crazy.
Palm Royale: The first half of the first season was fun, then they just started jumping shark after shark (or whales if you have seen it)
Bobs Burgers: When we can't think of anything to watch its our fallback
 
None of those.
Ride or Die: good enough. entertaining.
Rings of Power in a few months
Knight of the 7 kingdoms: will watch a few times.
House of the Dragon: 2 years til it returns.
Nothing on network tv other than OPL and Columbo
The Residence: highly entertaining
Last Kingdom: due for a rewatch
One piece with actors: Liking it. Great for treadmill
Shadow and Bone: about to rewatch

- Reacher (season 1 and 2 were great, season 3 was average, and season 4 the first episode was weak but the next two were better, now it comes out weekly for the next 2 months)
- Seinfeld (if nothing else on)
- A few months ago Malcolm in the Middle
- Last year Stranger Things (rewatched the entire series prior to season 5)
- Dexter Original and Resurrection
- Rewatched all the Spiderman movies recently

To do list (haven't seen):
- Sparanos
- Game of Thrones
- Band of Brothers
- The Wire
- House of Cards
 
Wow I'll have to come back to this list, haven't heard of 90%. We will go weeks without watching the occasionally binge every night when kids are asleep.

Currently watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It has a similar feel as The Office and Parks and Rec.

Got stuck on the runway for 4 hours and knocked out Knight of the Seven Kingdoms between the outgoing and return flight. Enjoyed it a lot.

I passed by the Delicious in Dungeon preview a few times. I'll give a full episode a try. I finished Legend of Vox Machina and was looking for some kind of animated fantasy.

Delicious in Dungeon is less raucous and more world building. It won Anime of the Year and Best Manga. We got tired of waiting for the second season and bought the series to read. The ending is very satisfying and I give the author major props for sticking the landing.

I haven't played in years because it was a time sink but I have great memories of playing Starcraft and Age of Empires on a network with med school friends. So much fun. The other guys were better at optimizing but I occasionally came up with unique, crazy ways to defeat them haha.

Starcraft in med school was fantastic! Unreal tournament also. Been playing some Zelda with my daughter lately.

Been many decades I remember fondly the days of Diablo, Warcraft, baldurs gate, Ultima Online.

currently diablo immortal. random puzzle games.

not really an online game, but fantasy football...


previous recent games include Marvel Contest of Champions, pokemon go, various Wii and Wii U games.

Tape to tape: Roguelike hockey game
Cuphead: Trying to clear it with my daughter
Shattered pixel dungeon: on my phone
I am hoping Monster Train 2 comes out on the phone. the first one was so fun.

That realtine strategy WoW/StarCraft/AoE engine has to be one of the most enduring in video game history.

It's not out of the question, if our bodies eventually don't allow us too much physical activity, that we can still have the time of our lives in a networked nursing home...
 
Still working on Bear. The episodes can be exhausting to watch, so not what I want most nights. Succession has been our latest addiction. The first time I tried watching this I couldn't get past that I hated all of the characters. The second time around I can't stop watching their antics. Way funnier than I would have thought.

Kind of like White Lotus. Every character is so despicable I have to shower after watching it.

Succession is amazing. The Bear season 3 was so unbearable(ha!) that I refuse to watch subsequent seasons.
 
I couldn’t get past how dramatic they were being over beef sandwiches. And then he starts dating an emergency medicine physician and his work is supposed to be harder than hers. She probably sees people who come in looking like beef sandwiches.

I've always looked at Bear as a piece of artwork. Seriously, what place of business could survive THAT level of frantic pressure AND interpersonal drama at the same time. I'm stuck somewhere in season 3 now. "Forks" in season 2 was one of best pieces of TV I've ever seen. The arc of Richard landing in a place where he learns self-respect is incredible. The punchline comes in the next episode when he finally talks to Carmy about the transformative experience, the conversation is three words: "I get it." And that's it. I laughed hard. The underlying message of the whole series seems to be "every second counts", and that's about as good a message as any.

3 episodes left on Succession.
