I found it helpful... but make sure u study other books for BIO and for PAT.... kaplan didn't go in to much detail with BIO as i would've liked...

2. what schools from the usa take the canadian dat?

i'm sorry i don't kno this answer...

😎

For #1, I think the online material is a big help. It's a lot of material, and all very helpful if you make sure to learn it. It especially helps with QR if you are not good at probabilities and the millino diff probs like that. The class is a waste unless you need to review fundamentals or have someone around to ask more complicated questions to. Like the above poster said, get something else for bio and pat.
Kaplan Bio and Barrons Bio got me a 20 on the DAT in that section. I scored a 20 on PAT as well but only used the online Kaplan stuff. The kaplan seemed mroe complex than the real test (at least my version) so it worked for me.

Don't know the answer to #2, sorry. If no one knows you may have to go to hte websites of the schools you want to APP too and figure it out.

i've heard mixed things about the kaplan course. 2 of my friends took it, and did worse than me on the DATs. other people have taken it, but say it is only useful if you really do the work that comes along with the class, and review it on your own, too. i didn't have the 1400 to spend, so i bought the kaplan book and various online practice tests. i did just fine on the DATs by teaching myself.

..so moral of the story, figure out how you learn best. for some people, it takes others to teach them, but then you also have to put in the work. for me, i learn best when i teach myself and constantly look at practice questions. (this was also the way cheaper route). as long as you put in the work, you'll do great! GL.

For me, I took Kaplan b/c their online material was helpful if you actually did it (jsut like if you were to buy the books---and it puts it into question format where you can't cheat and look at answers as you go, which is nice.
I don't think its necessarily for those who need to be taught--its just a bunch of extra material that will raise your score if you do it like you're supposed to. I pretty much relied on Kaplan online material for my test and did well. THe only thing I didnt rely on kaplan was for bio--i used barrons b/c it was more thorough (due to SDN advice)--which I was thankful I ended up doing! If you want lots of practice material, kaplan is great. (if you have the $$ that is)

You def don't NEEED it.... but it puts studying into a nice order so you can focus on studying nad not HOW to study. You just review the stuff they already have for you. And you can go back and do the 100 quizes they have over and over whicih is also nice.

THe quizes tell you waht you need to study better. If you aren't getting 90-100% on teh quizes you know to go back to that section and more thoroughly review it. Its really arrange to help you not only study, but figure out what you DONT know as well as you should--and then go back and focus on that.

Sorry I rambled. PPL smash Kaplan a lot (not saying the above poster is)... but it is worth it if you aren't lazy and do the work!!
