hello everyone,

i have two quick questions.

1. if i take chemistry or biology over the summer, will it make the mcat seem much harder due to the accelerated pace of the summer course?

2. also, i was thinking about working at a child's care center next fall and not working at the lab i am currently hired. should i make this switch? or should i try and volunteer at the child's care center and still work at the lab?

any input would be greatly appreciated!

thanks again, you all have been very helpful!

well, when are you taking the MCAT? if it is still years off, you are going to have to restudy Bio and Chem anyways. I took HPhys when I was taking the MCAT and it helped a lot...i didnt even study for the Bio portion of it because of that class (with exception of OChem). For EC, do whatever you can handle. I worked, went to class, volunteered at the ER and FP clinic, headed an org., and was also in other orgs. I say that this was not a good idea, remember it is quality, not quanitity. Doing so many things took its toll on me, but i didnt realize it at the time. Doing both of those things seem doable, especially if you are still doing the prereqs and not into the upper level sciences. If you get to the interview, you must be able to talk about the activities you did, so if you have to choose one, choose the one you can talk about. Best of luck!

Thanks, I was hoping for more feedback from everyone else, but you definitely helped! Thanks again!
