Quick question for all you residents out there:

I would say 80-90% of my cases my attending has at least 2 rooms to run. This obviously impacts on the amount of teaching that goes on. I was just wondering what it is like at other programs. How much one-on-one teaching goes on out there, 5 minutes per case, one hour per case?

Just wondering

thanks 🙂

Back in the day when I was a gas resident, I told my chairman that I didn't want to attend the late-in-the-day hourly didactic meetings. He was cool with that as I told him I would be #1 or #2 for my class year on the inservice exam. I held my promise to him and never attended those crazy meetings again for 3 years. The attendings didn't bother me too much because I did well on the exams. Never was pimped to death. Regards, ----Zippy
