Please, if anyone is able, explain two-tone suppression in the cochlea as plainly (but accurately) as possible.
My classmates and I are prepping for quals and we just can't get a grip on the specifics of this beast.
I'm referring, again, to the suppression that occurs in the cochlea, not rate and synchrony suppression in the radial afferents.
