I am currently a senior graduating this May, I plan to work at a lab doing research for the first year.. However, I keep hearing from everybody that MD's LOVE scribes..

Should I try to push for a 2year research term because its more competitive and I personally enjoy it (haven't tried scribe work) or should I scribe my second year??

Plan to take 1st year off to fully study for MCAT then 2nd year will be my application cycle.

Well is your app more deficient in clinical or research experience? Yes scribing is a good clinical experience. I wouldn't say MDs love it as it's a pretty common activity among premeds now and that should not be your only reason for doing the scribing. Could you scribe part time and also do research?
