Our med chem teacher's primary interest was/is TCN and derivatives, but he said that it's pretty much useless now, because everything is resistant to the TCN class as a whole. I guess Wyeth either 1: found one that slipped through the cracks, or 2: dusted off some old drug that had been sitting around and decided to slap a brand name on it... it must be good for something, right?? 😉

And 2 new abx since? Dificid and Teflaro? And soon to release Tedizolid..

Not dead... busiest year of my life.

Tedizolid: once daily, lack of serotonin issues (at least the rabbit data I saw back in may), good even in cfr gene bugs, and cidal! But still a me too drug

6 days vs. 10 days.

More importantly Cubist bought Trius for $700 mil or so.. $15 per share. If y'all got in when I brought it up, would have been a good payday.
