Officially starting to update all of my natural science notes. Beginning with my bio notes. Added the only missing section not covered on my bio notes: energy and the cell, enzymes. I attached this section to this thread. Topics included in this section are as follows:

- forms of energy
- energy transformations
- types of chemical reactions
- principles of metabolism
- ATP structure and function
- types of cellular work
- how enzymes work
- catalytic cycle of an enzyme
- optimal conditions for an enzyme
- cofactors
- enzyme inhibitors

I also went through and updated the order of the major sections and subsections on the PDF file so the order makes more sense. These updates won't be reflected on the datgenius site until 1-2 days from now because it takes a bit for the servers to process the updates. I plan on improving existing sections over the next few weeks and will come out with a v2.0 once that is done.

Another question that has been largely unanswered is how to get a 30 on the bio section. In my opinion, it is the hardest 30 to get because there is so much content. I got a 30 because:

- I was lucky (got questions that I knew)
- I am good at critical thinking questions (DAT bio section isn't just spitting back facts, there are critical thinking questions)
- I memorized a lot of information. I attached a document called "vocab word checklist total" which represents everything I memorized for my DAT. I would look at this sheet and be able to define each vocabulary word and answer each question on the sheet without looking at anything else. Indents on the sheet meaning the vocab words/questions that are indented relate to the concept above it. I posted it for download because someone may find it as a useful checklist if he or she wants to get a 3o on bio.

How different is Feralis notes from your notes? Is going through feralis only good enough? I don't think I have time to go over both.

Some sections are similar some are different. Either or will be sufficient for your studies

I just realized i forgot to add my section on lipids the entire time. Will be in the update along with everything else in the original post! I added the pdf if anyone wants to get access to them asap.

Also, this will be the new order of topics in the pdf file. Please comment if you have any suggestions:

  1. water

  2. lipids *finally added*

  3. carbs

  4. proteins

  5. nucleic acids

  6. organelles

  7. prokaryotic cell structure

  8. viruses

  9. prokaryotes vs. eukaryotes

  10. diffusion and osmosis

  11. substance transport

  12. cell signaling

  13. energy and the cell, enzymes **new section**

  14. glycolysis

  15. TCA, citric acid cycle

  16. oxidative phosphorylation

  17. photosynthesis

  18. molecular biology lab techniques

  19. cell cycle

  20. mitosis and meiosis

  21. origins of life

Section 2: Genetics

Section 3: Developmental biology

  1. Animal reproduction

  2. Embryonic development

Section 4: Diversity of life

  1. Archaea and bacteria

Christmas in April! Just skimmed through your 2.0 Bio notes and they're amazing and easy to comprehend. Thank you. Would I have to subscribe to DAT Genius to get the chem notes? I feel like Chemistry is going to be my weakest of the TS scores. Also for the bio section when you say that you saw conceptual problems do you mean evolution, Hardy Weinberg, Lab technique, Genetics based questions?
