Fascinating. Feel bad for eating those waffle fries for dinner now. And pizza for dinner yesterday. And cheese sandwiches the day before that. And pizza the day before that.

Well, being a type 1 diabetic, I am not surprised by this information. Anyone with diabetes (regardless of type) is prone to Alzheimer's. I cannot concentrate as well when my blood glucose has been rising (blood glucose variability) or due to high blood glucose.

1. High carbohydrate diets are not good for you.

2. Diets high in fat and low in carbohydrates (< 30 CHO/day) are generally fine and control blood sugar well. (I had a 3 month blood glucose average that was equal to non diabetic control after only 6 weeks of reducing carbohydrates.) I also took less insulin and I felt better. I was also able to concentrate better.

3. Diets that are both high in carbohydrates and high in fat will adversely effect your health.
