I recently got invited for an interview to UoP so naturally I began researching potential questions when I came across this one:

9. What type of dental program are you interested in?
( Compare two general types of school programs like
Case-Based and Practical or Clinic Oriented)

I'm not really sure what to say about this, I know that UoP has a very strong clinical program but I don't know much about case based schools. Can somebody clarify this for me?

are they referring to case based as PBL- problem based?

Would case-based be like hypothetical versus clincal - like actually working hands on in the clinics?

The way I understand it, case-based is more tailored to the learning pace and style of the individuals in the class, as opposed to following a strict schedule of exams and meeting certain requirements and deadlines, etc...someone feel free to add to/correct this...
